Slurry Design
Designed Ultralight Slurry will be 8.5 ppg on Surface
and 9 ppg weight at T.D.
Cement & chemicals will be dry-blend and mixing is
planned thru Batch-mixer
Slurry volume will be decided based on Caliper log,
adequate to rise 50 m above Top of Liner.
Adequate spacer volume, ahead and behind cement
to have clean cement against the shoe and Top of
Liner.

Centralizer Placement &

Associated Risks
Proposed Centralizers are Spiro-lizer type,
to keep minimum drag forces
To minimize Liner hold-up, centralizers will
be run against prospective zones only. This
will improve chances of running liner to T.D.
Running of 5 Liner to proposed T.D will be
a challenge, therefore, wiper/ cleaning trip
before running Liner will be made with stiff
assembly.

General Practices
Make wiper Trip to clear hole from any of
obstructions prior to Running Liner
Circulate two cycles for bottomhole Cooling
Meanwhile condition mud to optimize
rheology (Reduce YP & Gel Strength)
Mud system shall have moderate LCM
Concentration
Adjust circ rates, so as Returns could not be
lost during Cementation
Manage to have three jts in Shoe track

Liner Running & Cementation Guidelines

Pre-hydrate cementing additives
Mix & prepare 35bbl of Tuned spacer
Mud engineer will prepare pumpable 20bbl of 3% KCl
solution
Batch-mix 110 bbl 8.5 ppg cement Slurry
Pump KCl solution
Pump 20 bbl of Tuned spacer followed by 110 bbl of
cement Slurry at loss free rate
Release Dart & Displace untill it reaches Landing
collar
Pressure test Liner & slowly release pressure
Sting-out Setting tool & POH 10 stds of cement string
Reverse circulate 1-1/2 string volume (In case of
losses direct circulate)
Close Pipe Rams & Apply 300 psi untill cement is set.

Roles & Responsibilities

CM/ DE to verify all calculations on-site &
confirm each equipment required is
available at site
Cement Supervisor shall not start job untill
satisfaction of Supervisory Team at site
TP should keep Derrickman & Rig Floor
crew ready to pull-out post-job
Site HSE Officer should ensure that
practices are safe
