INTRODUCTION

This is a web-related application that permits us to approach the entire

knowledge regarding the Department Management, Faculty details, students,
faculties etc. This application is also called asinstitute management system.

Following are the modules that we have worked on:

These are the modules which when managed properly a stable Department
management system is formed whose aim is to keep proper records of
students and staff & to provide them with better knowledge through library
management.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of our project is to develop a GUI (Graphical User

Interface) based software i.e. platform independent & user friendly and
which can be fit into any department system. It will remove data
redundancy and will be fast in operation.
The project DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM offers records of students,
teachers etc. in an institute. To the users of this project are administrator,
teachers, students, visitors and parents. User is a person of administrative
staff at an institute.
Therefore DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM has been designed in
such a way that it will automate the manual work of administrative
department by maintaining records such as syllabus records, staff directory
records,course details etc. The user can not manipulate the data such as
by editing the records to update them from time to time or can delete
records which are no more required.
