COMPOUNDING

Tools drug compounding

a. drug scales
b. mortar and stamper
c. capsule filling machine tools not
d. glass tools
e. spoon, pipette, spatula, funnel
f. a drip pan
g. board pill, sieving

WEIGHTS
\
Scales medicine there are 3 types, namely:
1. Scales rough: the power load of 250 grams to 1000 grams
sensitivity of 200 mg
2. Scales gram subtle: the power load of 100 grams to 200 grams
sensitivity 50 mg
3. Scales milligrams: power load of 10 grams to 50 grams
sensitivity of 5 mg.
Load power: the maximum weight that may be weighed.
Sensitivity: the maximum required additional weight on one plate scales,
after both filled to maximum load, causing the needle swing the scales of
not less than 2 mm per dm long needles.

Description :
1.Papan grounding scales
2.Tombol regulating the establishment
erect scales
3.Anting pointer upholding the scales
(spirit level)
4.Jarum scales
5.Skala
6.Tuas the buffer scales
7.Pisau middle / center knife
8.Pisau hand
9.Tangan scales
10.Selection keys / nuts regulator of the
balance
11.Piring scales

Weighing

1. Check whether all the components of the scale /

balance is appropriate in place, by matching the
numbers contained in these components (see figure).

2. Check the position of the scales is aligned / flat, it

can be seen from the position of earrings (3.1) with the
base ring (3.2) to be precise. If it is not right we turn
the knob (2).

3. Once again we check whether the position of the

blade (7) and (8) are already in place. If it is then the

lever (6) we lift or rotate it timmbangan be lifted and
akankelihatan whether his plate balanced or biased.
If not balanced we can rotate the nut (10) left or right
according to the balance, so that balance balanced.

4. After that we just put the parchment paper over

both plates scales, lift lever (6) to check whether the
scales have been balanced. When you are balanced,
then weighing the materials can begin.

5. How weighing ingredients:

a. Solid materials such as powders, candles, etc. weighed
on parchment paper.
b. solid materials such as petroleum jelly, adeps,
weighed on parchment paper or above the vaporizer cup.
c. The molten material can be weighed on a watch glass,
cup vaporizer or directly into the bottle or container.

d. Viscous liquid materials such as ekstak belladon and

extract hiosiami directly weighed, while for ichtiol
weighed on paper parchment previously smeared
with liquid paraffin / petroleum jelly.
e. Oxidizing materials (kalii permanganas, iodine,
Argenti nitras) weighed on the glasses weigh on the
watch glass or closed.
f.Bahan who weighed less than 50 mg dilution

DASAR PERHITUNGAN DOSIS

1. Berat Badan
- dengan menimbang
- pendugaan melalui lingkar dada (pada sapi)
2. Umur
- catatan lahir,
- rumus gigi dan tanduk
3. Konversi
- Dosis manusia ke hewan

TOOLS TO MEASURE THE VOLUME

1. The measuring cup is used to

measure the liquid to be
made or liquid to be taken.

2. Erlenmeyer used for dissolving

materials with shaken or dikocokdan
used to gauge (the level of accuracy
less).

COMPOUNDING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT OTHER GLASS

1. Mortar mortar and pestle or stamper, used to grind and mix the
ingredients together.
2. The spoon can be used to take the solid material of the bottle, the
liquid material can be used for a pipette or directly poured carefully,
while for semi-solid material (condensed extract and fats) can be used
spatula / spatula.
3. Sudip from film / mica used to unify, cleaning powders or ointments
and put in the container.

4. The vaporizer cup (porcelain) used to weigh containers, to

evaporate or drain fluid, merge or mix more than one
material.
5. Glasses watches and weighing bottle to weigh the volatile
material, sublime, and liquids that can not be weighed with
parchment paper.
6. The pot infusion to make infusion solutions.
7. The Board of pills used to wrap the pill, cut pills, then
rounded by rounding pills.

8. sieving equipment used for sifting the material

according to the degree of fine powders.
9. Funnels used to filter with filter paper laid on filter
paper funnel round cut of approximately 1 cm below the
surface of the funnel.
10. Rod stirrer
11. The capsule filter

a drip pan: to filter the content of crude drug

Another Tools
a. gram balance: to balance the levels of drug
b. milligram balance: to balance the levels of the drug

in powder penimbngan milligrams.

c. morti: mixing a drug / drug grind with content that
has been set.
d. Stamper: a tool to grind the drug so evenly mixed.

a. waterbath: to produce steam to melt solid dosage

basis where the preparation is placed on the
