Understand both the float and smooth ride systems (SRS)
Describe how the quick hitch system works for attachments
Understand the oil flows in the transmission circuit

Loader raises and return oil


enters UDSL valve
Since solenoid is closed
pressurize oil enters Flow
Divider
Flow divider diverts the return
oil through the check valve to
the tilt ram
Since tilt spool is closed off
(centered) the oil is forced into
tilt ram causing it to level while
loader is raising.
Return oil from tilt spool shifts
modulator spool down
allowing oil to return back to
the MCV

Loader arm lowers and oil
returns back to MCV

Option must be turn on via
Service master if field
installed.
When hydraulic circuit
pressurized quick hitch is
power closed via internal
porting in the valve.

Hydraulic Quick Hitch Open Circuit

Supply oil from hydraulic


pump enters valve P1 port
and shifts pilot valve
allowing oil to flow to MCV

Solenoid energized and the


flow of oil will push the
pilot valve to meter the oil
requirement for the Q-hitch
cylinder. Oil then flows to
cylinder to open cylinder
but the check valve must
be unseated.

Once the check valves are


unseated the cylinder will
extend and the oil will
return to tank via solenoid .

Supply oil from hydraulic


pump enters valve P1 port
and shifts pilot valve
allowing oil to flow to MCV

Solenoid energized and


the flow of oil will push the
pilot valve to meter the oil
requirement for the Qhitch cylinder. Also flow
will unseat the check
valve and close cylinder.

Return oil from cylinder


will flow back through
solenoid to tank.

Operator demands a lift


function and creates high
pressure in quick hitch valve.
High pressure will unseat
check valve and pressurize
the close circuit. Keeping the
cylinder fully closed to ensure
attachment does not fall off.

Float is incorporated in SRS

ECU must read from the
transducer 0 to 12 bar in lift
circuit before SRS solenoids
are energized (loader arm
must be fully lowered)
Three coils must be
energized for SRS to
function correctly

SRS Valve Operation


Boom lowered on the
ground 0 - 12 bar sensed by
transducer in barrel end line.
Activate SRS via left hand
panel switch
Once the coils are
energized SRS is active. The
boom can be raised and
lowered without disabling
SRS. Only way to disable SRS
is to push switch in left hand
panel.

raise line. Float can now be
energized.
Machines with standard
float work in the same
manner. Except float valve
only has two coils and valve
located in the same location.
