recruitment.

Steps for Recruitment


Requisition: Respective department informs HR

Operations for their vacant position.


Timing: Time period to select an employee is
designed by HR Operations department but never
exceeds more than 60 days.
Recruiting Budget: Design a fixed budget for
recruiting process every year.
Sources of Candidates: Always prefers online
recruitment by their own website or posting ads on
different job portels.

Steps for Recruitment


Selection of Candidates: Make a short list of

candidates by analyzing CV who fulfilled their


criteria.
Written Test: Questionnaire usually made by HR
Operations. But sometimes the respective
department does also. Written Test is not
mandatory for higher level positions.
Verbal Test: Qualified candidates of written exam
for two step verbal test.

for management staffing:

Compliance:

Different rules and regulations are strictly followed by the


organization where labor law and other associated laws, record
management, Auditing are highly prioritized.
EHS:

Environment Health and Safety has an independent unit despite HRD


dictates issues with EHS and organize and execute necessary steps
accordingly.
Payroll:

All the financial functions are operated under payroll. Compensation


and benefit, PF, Gratuity, Profit share, WPPF, Overtime, Annual/Fetival
bonus all these are the inevitable Payroll deeds.

Employee and Labor Relations:
Both Corporate and Supply Chain HRD have

Business Partners in all the units those who


coordinate with entire management and non
management team about on going and future issues
that keeps the best interest of the organization.
In the case of Supply Chain HR Business Partners

and theirs associates labor law, its practice and


abidingness is mostly important.

Training and Development:
Day long, monthly basis or hourly basis on the job

and off the job training sessions are organized both


for management and labors at BAT as per the
requirement.
As HR is classified in to two departments a) Supply

chain b) Corporate thus corporate arrange


management training and development program
and SC does for the labors
