Objectives Primary objective  To find out the changing consumer preferences towards Organized retailing from Un-organized retailing. Secondary objective  To analyze the factors which influence consumers to prefer organized retail outlets over unorganized retail outlets  To identify the problems faced by consumers from organized as well as unorganized retail outlets .

  . Magazines. PRIMARY DATA  We have collected the information through questionnaire for this study.  Necessary information was not provided by the users. Internet and Newspapers ANALYTICAL TOOL  We have used percentage analysis method for this study. SECONDARY DATA  Secondary data was completely based on Books.LIMITATION  This is applicable to Tuticorin people only.  The period taken for analysis is one week.

easy replacement of defected products.FINDINGS  Organized retail outlets have more positive responses for quality of the product . . cleanliness of the store. variety of brands.  Proper parking facility factor have least level positive response in both retail outlets. relationship with shop keeper.  Un-organized retail outlets have more positive responses for immediacy of the store. proper packaging of the products. proper shelf display of the products. billing duration.

Special promotional activities.  Both retail outlets can be given more comfortable parking facility to their customer according to their ability. .Suggestions  The Research indicates that the organized retailers should take effective steps to improve their billing as most of consumers complained about long queues for billing.  Local shops need to focus on proper shelf display. maintaining hygienic conditions.
