WHAT ARE LIFE SKILLS?
Life skills are essentially those abilities that help
promote overall wellbeing and competence in
young people as they face the realities of life
It is an art of managing a particular situation
effectively
NEED FOR DEVELOPING LIFE SKILLS

Life skills training is an efficacious tool for


empowering the youth to act responsibly, take
initiative and take control.
To avoid high risk behaviour such as alcoholism, drug
abuse and casual relationships, rebellion and peer
pressure.

Empathy - Successful relationship with loved ones and society


Critical thinking - analyse information and experiences
in an objective manner.
