New England Colonies
The 3 major resources in the New England Colonies were: ships,

wood products, fish and furs from beavers.

The 2 major industries/jobs are manufacture and trade.

The major reasons for most of these colonies starting was to


escape religious persecution.
The dominant religion was Puritan and various religion.

Puritan religion was tolerated but if any else believed in any other religion they
were not tolerated.
Middle Colonies
The major resources from the Middle Colonies were:
grains like; wheat, rye, oats, barley and corn.
The 2 major industries/jobs are agricultural products and iron
mining
The major reasons for most of these colonies starting was to
escape religious persecution, trading and to make a profit.
There was no dominant religion.

Since, there was no dominant religion because they accepted almost every
religion.
Southern Colonies
The three main resources in the Southern Colonies were:
Tobacco, indigo, rice and cotton.
The 2 major industries/jobs are farming cash crops and
exporting.
The major reasons for most of these colonies starting was to
escape religious persecution, profit, and George and James
even made a colony where the poor could go instead of jail.
There was no dominant religion mostly they believed whatever they wanted
but most were Catholic.
Any religion was tolerated and most people were Catholic.
