STRATEGY#1 INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY
INTO CLASS
One way to have students become involved in class activities
is to implement different type of technology into classroom
and lessons. Today's technology enablesstudents to learn in
their own pace. For example, almost all apps allow for individualized
instruction. Students can learn according to their abilities and
needsthrough different type of technology tools and systems. This type
of teaching is also wonderful for the teachers because it gives them the
time to work individually with students who may be struggling. Also it is
possible to implement group activities for the classrooms.
STRATEGY #2 INDIVIDUAL THOUGHT SHARES AND
GROUP DEBATES(ACTIVE LEARNING
INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES)

Active learning instructional strategies include a wide range of

activities that share the common element of involving
students in doing things and thinking about the things they are
doing (Bonwell & Eison 1991). Active learning instructional
strategies can be created and used to engage students in
thinking critically or creatively, speaking with a partner, in a
small group, or with the entire class, expressing ideas through
writing, exploring personal attitudes and values, giving and
receiving feedback, and reflecting upon the learning process
STRATEGY#3HANDS ON ACTIVITIES-
PROJECT PRESENTATIONS AND

Since learning is a process that requires the learner to be in it,

assigning students different projects and asking them to
present and help the students master at their knowledge and
have them teach the others about what they learned. PBL
projects and hands on activities could beanother strategy
could be implemented in classrooms and learning
environments. STEMSOS model is one of those well used
instructional strategies could be implemented.

AYSE ULGUL TIP #1
Improve Learning with Hands-On Classroom Games, Activities;
Reading and writing has always been an effective way for students to learn. Its basically been
the main way students have been taught since the beginning of time. But research is now
showing that students learn and retain information better when they are given multiple facets.
Studies show that students learn best when learning is active, when they are engaged in hands-
onclassroom games and activities, and involved in what they are learning. Scientists believe
that when children use all of their senses it helps thebraincreate pathways that make it easier
and quicker to retain information. Hands-on activities are beneficial for all ages students'
learning.Furthermore, these activities makes learning persistent.
Ex: We would like to teach daily routine verbs. Firstly weshow these verbs on the screen. Then
We deliver sheets to kids and want them draw the sentence in the first facet of paper to another
facet.
AYSEULGUL TIP #2

Active learning instructional strategies;

If we want to enhance students' classroom activity participation and learning we have to find
ways to engage them with active learning. Brain storming is one of the best ways to rise up
students' active learning rate. There are many effective ways for students to create brainstorms
of ideas. Working with pairs or in small groups tends to be effective because students stimulate
each others thought processes. Encouraging students to think out of the box and to delve into
a topic using this technique often has unexpectedly positive results.

Ex: After the lecture about house furniture, pair the students depends on their academic level
and want from these pairs write a paragraph including at least ten sentences and all given
words with brainstorming together.

CAGRI SELCUK TIP #1

*Active Learning Strategies;

*Student's participation is very important and it is a sort of an indication of whet they
comprehend the content .There are tons of ways that we can use to refine our
students involvement in our class. One way is to have them do a poster board project
in a group setting according to the rubrics provided so that they know how it needs to
be conducted. We have one of them stay with their project and explain what it is to
other students. The thing they learn about todo their project will be absorbed easily
that way, because students willdeliver the content learned to others by explaining
and their retention of knowledge will increase.
CAGRI SELCUK TIP #2

*INTEGRATING TECH INTO CLASS

*Technology has changed and improved our life so much . It also affected the
education system in this terms, because we see it everywhere we look . Technology
integration is very useful for students as long as we use it in a good way. It would be
better off for both students and teachers if we utilize tech for practice, assessment
and check for understanding .
*Ex: There are lots of websites and softwares that make the learning meaningful and
fun for students such as StudyIsland, Aleks, and TTM( Think through Math).

UZEYIR SEVICI TIP #1INTEGRATING
TECHNOLOGY INTO CLASS
Integrating technology into the class has a lot of advantages for learning
and teaching a foreign language. In some classes to motivate the student,
in others to provide the sufficient assignments to the students according to
their level are fundamental problems of foreign language teachers.
Learning a new language needs a little bit talent and a lot of practicing.
Especially practicing with native speakers and listening to the target
language has a vital importance for learners. In these days we are able to
use a lot of good tools to fulfill these requirements. Some websites and
applications such as Rosetta Stone, Babbel, Duolingo has numerous
activities and examples for learners.
UZEYIR SEVICI TIP #2HANDS ON
ACTIVITIES-PROJECT PRESENTATIONS AND
There are different ways to learn a new language. While some people can
learn by writing, some people can learn by listening. To learn a new
language based on hands on activities is the most effective way. Hands on
activities are helping the students to learn a new language by seeing,
feeling and practicing. In this way learning is more memorable.
People can memorize a new word in a conversation/dialogue easily or
when they present a topic in front of the people, the topic is more
memorable for them. On the one hand project base learning is an
enjoyable way of learning on the other hand it helps to people to learn
better.

ADEM ERTUNA TIP #1
Hosting professionals:
We,the teachers always talk about the ideal situations
not the real facts in our classes.
Voice of an especially knowledgeable and instructionally
effective invited speaker can bring both outside authority
and possibly enhanced student inspiration to our
classroom. In short the thoughtful selection of one or
more potential guest speakers combined withskillful pre-
class planning to adequate both the speaker and our
students, can excite student interestin a topic and
stimulate lively in class discussion.
To reduce the risk level associated with this type of
learning, make certain that our students thoughtfully pre-
plan and prepare interview questions prior to guest
speaker visits. Otherwise the lecture may go to wrong
directions and it may be a disaster.
ADEM ERTUNA TIP
#2
Change can be good

Especially for the experienced teachers, the most

dangerous enemy is to be professionalon their
subject. Because mostly we loose ourcuriosity.
Dont just stick with the tried and tested format,
week in, week out. When we have been teaching for
a long time it is easy to stick with what has worked
in the past and not try new things. I personally think
that it is good to try new strategies and new ways of
doing things. Not only for the students interest, but
also for our own It might be that the original way of
doing something was the best way, but until you try
something new, how will you know for sure?
For example we should not resist to technology and
its benefits. The students are in it so why we are not.
I am trying the students to compete with likekahoot
or quizlet sites. They are easy and free. Competition
also makes students alive. And the most powerful
way; enjoy your lesson and have fun with students.
