FAMILY & FRIENDS TOPIC UNIT 7 – HOBBIES LEARNING STANDARD 2.2 Able to blend phonemes into recognizable words and read them aloud. the pupils will be able to: i.1. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson. (A) blend phonemes /ear/ and /air/ into at least six out of ten recognizable words and read them aloud ii.THEME WORLD OF SELF. (NA) blend phonemes /ear/ and /air/ into at least two out of ten recognizable words and read them aloud .

Introduce actions for /ear/ and /air/ sounds. Pupils form a big circle. 2. Pupils are divided into two groups (consonant group and sound group). ACTIVITY 1. . Asks the pupils to follow the actions. 4. Pupils repeat after teacher. Teacher shows and articulate the sounds cards and consonant cards to the pupils. Each pupils get a card each. 3.

The fastest pair will come to the centre of the circle and blend the sounds from the card they have. Teacher will say a word and pupils are given 30 seconds to find their pair.5. 6. 7. Teacher gives rewards to the fastest pair with the correct answer. Pupils say out aloud. Teacher points out a list of words. Teacher explains on ‘Find Your Pair’ game. .
