but in your hearts honor Christ the

Lord as holy, always being prepared
to make a defense to anyone who
asks you for a reason for the hope
that is in you;

yet do it with gentleness and respect,
having a good conscience, so that,
when you are slandered, those who
revile your good behavior in Christ
may be put to shame.

TESTIMONY, n. - A solemn
declaration or affirmation made
for the purpose of establishing or
proving some fact.
-Webster

WITNESS, n. - Attestation
of a fact or event.
-Webster
Sometimes a single phrase
of testimony can set events in
motion that affect someone's
life for eternity.
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
The God whom we worship is not a
weak and incompetent God. He is able
to beat back gigantic waves of
opposition and to bring low prodigious
mountains of evil. The ringing testimony
of the Christian faith is that God is able.
Martin Luther
WHAT YOUR PERSONAL TESTIMONY
SHOULD BE. . .
By R. Larry Moyer

It is personal.
It is identifiable.
It is factual.
It is unarguable.
It is engaging.
WHEN DO YOU USE YOUR TESTIMONY?
By R. Larry Moyer

In a personal setting
In a public setting
In a difficult setting
In a casual setting
In a short-term setting
preach the word; be ready in
season and out of season;
reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with
complete patience and teaching.
- 2 Timothy 4:2 ESV
What should motivates you to do so . . .

When you share the story
of Gods work in your life
you are sharing your
testimony.

The only question is:
Are you be willing to . . .
SHAREit

We can do nothing without
prayer.
Edward McKendree Bounds
No one can come to me
unless the Father who sent
me draws him. And I will
raise him up on the last day.
- John 6:44 ESV
3 Steps To Prepare To Share Your Testimony

1. What was your life like before

you became a Christian?
2. How did you come to know
Christ?
3. What has your life been like
since you received Christ?

I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things
in opposing the name of Jesus of Nazareth. And I did
so in Jerusalem. I not only locked up many of the
saints in prison after receiving authority from the chief
priests, but when they were put to death I cast my vote
against them. And I punished them often in all the
synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme, and in
raging fury against them I persecuted them even to
foreign cities.
- Acts 26:9-11 ESV

Acts 26:13-18
13 At midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from
heaven, brighter than the sun, that shone around me
and those who journeyed with me.
14 And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a
voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, Saul, Saul,
why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick
against the goads.
15 And I said, Who are you, Lord? And the Lord said, I
am Jesus whom you are persecuting.

Acts 26:13-18
16 But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared
to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and
witness to the things in which you have seen me and to
those in which I will appear to you,
17 delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles
to whom I am sending you
18 to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness
to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may
receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who
are sanctified by faith in me.

To this day I have had the help that comes from
God, and so I stand here testifying both to small
and great, saying nothing but what the prophets
and Moses said would come to pass: that the
Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to
rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both
to our people and to the Gentiles.
- Acts 26:22-23 ESV

How you live your life is a
testimony of what you
believe about God.
Henry Blackaby
For whoever is ashamed of me and of
my words in this adulterous and sinful
generation, of him will the Son of Man
also be ashamed when he comes in the
glory of his Father with the holy angels.
- Mark 8:38 ESV

BE. .
CLEAR
But you will receive power when the
Holy Spirit has come upon you, and
you will be my witnesses in
Jerusalem and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
- Acts 1:8 ESV

I planted, Apollos watered,
but God gave the growth.
- 1 Corinthians 3:6 ESV
We should remember that bearing a
heartfelt testimony is only a beginning.
We need to bear testimony, we need to
mean it, and most importantly we need
consistently to live it. We need to both
declare and live our testimonies.
David A. Bednar
