MEASURES TO OVERCOME DESERTION Counseling Systematic Training Upgrading Facilities to army men Awareness classes about foreign employment Good retirement policy Discouraging harsh punishment Morale and Motivation .

hard training and mental breakdowns have to be sorted out. FINDINGS  The choice between the money and pride is heavy but everybody lose to money in order to sustain their family lives.  Recently the government introduced the policy of providing extra allowance and the grade system which brought massive increment in the salary and increased the morale and willingness of staying in the army amongst the people. the system of harsh punishment.  Along with the foreign employment. .  Even though this policy turned out to be positive. still the lure of foreign employment is much higher and has to be addressed.

the decision should be made after understanding the problem.  Instead of resolving the problem through harsh punishment.  Training is the most essential part of being an army. then this can become one of the most effective reasons for the individuals to stay in the force.  Another reason for the desertion turned out to be the family pressure and emotional breakdown. sorting through counseling. RECOMMENDATION  If the facilities provided by the army are enough for the families.They should always be motivated and positive working environment should be maintained. timely counseling  Methods of awareness should be provided to the troops . . So. the process for systematic training must be applied.

it is desperation. need and sometimes impulse of an immediate action.  Various physical. .  The issue of desertion must be controlled timely before it becomes worse. The various responsibilities of sustaining life and providing to the family bring the ultimate decision of desertion and moving to other opportunities.  Even when the individual does not want to leave the force. CONCLUSION  Desertion is not a habit. the lure of the other opportunity is so high that they ultimately leave. mental and emotional reasons lead to desertion.  The pride itself of working in army is not enough.
