BOREYBUILDERS is a construction company which were started since 2015 The company were
handed several project. Those are known :
1. Project : Condominiums
2. Project : Villas
3. Project : Gas Station (PTT)
Nowadays BOREYBUILDERS is constructing 2 project. Project LEECO Modern Office and Furniture
Forum (16 floors) and the other 20 floors condominium project.
2. Describe about your internship project and
people you work with ?
Project : LEECO Modern Office and Furniture Forum
Address : Monivong Boulevard (Corner street 360), Sangkat Beuong Keng Kang I,
Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh

I have started my internship in this project since February 21 2018. And after
finished the excavation work and cutting piers. The pile caps works is being started.
But due to, some problems were happened to piers. And right now, all those pier were
being repairing.
There are about 15 labors working in this construction site.
3. What are the obstacles you face during this
internship ?
It has been about 21 days since I start my internship and I find something difficult
to deal with :

1. Plan : All the plans and detailing plans were drew by Vietnamese
engineers. I find them difficult to read. It takes time to
understand each plan.

2. Site safety : From the way I see, I think this construction site is at high
risk of accidents.

3. Dust and Noise : Since the site construction is next to the boulevard Monivong,
so it is very noisy. Another issue is dust from the construction
work.
4. What is on your mind ?
By the time starting year 5, I thought I would write steel structure for my final
thesis topic. But unfortunately I could not find the place. And right now I do my
internship in Post Tension structure. And my topic is about Post Tension slab
which is the most picked topic this year.

At construction site, everybody is so nice. I feel very comfortable being there. To

be honest, there’s something in my mind. I have very From my perspective, I
think the management system of the site is not very effective.

Being under supervised of Dr. LY Hav is one of the best thing happened to me
during this final semester. He is so kind and full of motivations. I think my friends
also thing the same as me.
