ANNUAL INTENSIVE GEOMATIC

PRACTICAL 2010 (AIGP 2010)

AMPUNG BAHARU, AYER TAWAR, PERAK

20th NOVEMBER – 3rd DECEMBER 2010

GROUP A7
Station 3 is beside the road. The soil
beside the road is too thin and
shallow. Our tripod barely plant into
the ground and greatly reduce our
accuracy. Hard soil and vehicles
nearby causes the instrument to
vibrate which affect the horizontal
level of the instrument.

Our working sector consists of

a small area of thick bushes.
We cannot put our pegs
between this area. The bushes
are too hard to clear as our
team do not have sufficient
man power to do this task.
Villager give us cold drink
Levelling
 Permissible misclosure = ±4.59mm
 Since the misclosure we obtain is less than 8.4mm,
therefore the result is acceptable.
 Misclosure = 0
 2 peg test (3mm)

Traversing
Acceptable misclosure for 2nd class traversing = 30’’ x √n
= 30’’ x √7
= 01’19.37’’

Linear Misclosure:
Outer Loop= 1:9562
Site= 1: 8138
Area
