Grade Settings/Changes
• Change your grade settings to 50 pt scale.
• This allows LS to be entered!
• Grade will be automatically divided in half and given to the student
• Changes in grading policy for the year
• Missing is back! Click on the flag to mark notations (missing, excused, incomplete)
• Missing- Student never did it (goes in as a 0)
• Incomplete- some attempt was made, more effort needs to be done before it counts (this
does not give them a grade)
• Excused- Student was absent from class excused- can make up (does not count against)
How to change your Gradebook Setup
• Click on a Course
• Click on Grade Setup
on the left side
• Scroll down to Final

• Under Gradebook Scale
choose BCPS 50 Point

bottom of the screen

*Unless you STAR the grading scale in your Grade Setup on the Righthand side of the screen it will not be automatically selected
when you create assignments.
How to Upload Files when creating an assignment

Student submissions
• When you create an assignment, it defaults to "Submissions Enabled"
so that students can submit an assignment to you. While you cannot
see this ability when you view the course as a student, it is enabled
for them to submit! This is an example of what that would look like:

• Share the course access codes via an email.
• Access codes are found on the bottom of the left column

Tips and Tricks
• Besides printing your rosters from SIS you can export
your rosters to a CSV file in Excel, edit, copy, and print
from there. Instructions: From your Gradebook, After creating an
assignment, you will see three vertical dots on the right
side. Clicking them will open a few choices.

Click on Export and you will be brought to a screen you


see below and chose Gradebook as CSV and chose Next
and it will download to your downloads folder where you
can open it and modify from there.

Group
1. Please go to Schoology and click on Groups.
2. Click on My groups on the right side of the screen
3. Click on School Groups Tab
4. Select Baltimore County Public Schools from the drop down list
5. Click on page 5 at the bottom of the screen
6. Scroll down to find – Schoology Professional Learning in BCPS
7. Join Group

Transferring Tests from Engrade
• Go to your OMHS group located in groups
• Click on Resources on the left-hand side
• Choose the folder Schoology
Adding Video Clips
• You can directly add YouTube clips and Safari Montage clips for
students to click and access.

• Directions can be found in Schoology in the OMHS group, click on


resources.
