HISTORY

• 1985
Kao Corporation make a big step by merger with PT. Dino Indonesia Industrial Ltd, which is produced dino detergent
powder since 1969. The joint venture still named PT. Dino Indonesia Industrial Ltd., with shareholding propotion 50:50.
Together with PT. Rodamas, Kao Corporation keep trying to socialize cleaner, more beauty and more healthy way of life.
• 1990
PT. Dinokao Indonesia formed and keep selling the products of PT. Dino Indonesia Industrial Ltd., in early 1997, PT. Dino
Indonesia Industrial Ltd., merger with PT. Dinokao Indonesia and later become PT. Kao Indonesia.
• Nowaday, PT. Kao Indonesia already have 2 production facility at Cikarang and Karawang also a Logistic center at
Cikarang

RECOMENDATION

• As we all know, KAO is only famous for their facial treatment and menstrual pads
products, so for gain more buyers on the others products as well, KAO need to give
their product knowledges via advertising, or doing promotion on site (such as
Convenience Store) so then people know about their other product beside menstrual
pads and facial treatment. And they also need to redesign their product to make it looks
more attractive.
CONCLUSION

• Lot of Indonesian people may already know about KAO, but that doesn’t guarantee they
know about all the products KAO have made so far, as we can see at Top Brand website,
KAO only famous for their facial treatment undername “Biore” and menstrual pads
undername “Laurier”. And we think that’s understandable since both Biore and Laurier
advertising is often spawn on the TV than KAO other products.
