PROBLEM STATEMENT

The world today relies heavily on technology and people will get
more and more careless with the important information. Hence cyber
crime becomes more prevalent and we should take steps and
precautions to prevent it.
WHAT IS CYBER CRIME

Cybercrime is defined as a crime in which a computer is the object of


the crime or is used as a tool to commit an offense .Criminals who
perform these illegal activities are often referred to as hackers.There
are various ways in which hackers do such activities

❏ Use of Computer technologies to access personal information


and business trade secrets .
❏ Use the internet for exploitative or malicious purposes.
❏ Criminals can also use computers for communication and
document or data storage.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

❏ Though not all people are victims of cybercrime,but still all are
at risk.
❏ More than 50 % people are affected by various cybercrime.
❏ Most affected(40%) cyber crime is virus spreading according to
the survey.
❏ About 40% people agree to today’s prevailing law system but
about 40% people disagree to it.
❏ More than 90% is not experienced money lose due to cyber
crime.
❏ After affected by cyber crime only a 7% legally moved against
this.
CONCLUSION

Weapons aren’t guns anymore; they attack with mouse cursors and
passwords.

We should take necessary steps to prevent this:

1. Use a full-service internet security suite-provides real-time


protection against ransomware ,viruses...when you go online.
2. Use strong passwords :Don’t repeat your passwords on different
sites.Make them complex.
3. Know what to do if you become a victim:
● Contact the companies and banks where you know fraud occurred.
● Report identity theft to the cyber cell.ect.
4.Use unknown device in incognito/private window mode.

5.Use trusted devices.

6.Be alert ! someone is watching you.

7.Never give your thumb impression while shopping.
