 CLEANING THE
CLASSROOM

It was 8.00 a.m. Ali and his classmates

were in 6 Ehsan.
A little later, Puan Azlin got into the
classroom. She was shocked to see the class
was dirty. She asked Ali and his friends to
clean it immediately. Without dilly-dally, the
pupils wiped the windows, swept the floor,
arranged the table, and clean the blackboard.
As saying goes, ‘many hands make
light work’, they finished their tasks fast.

the playground. The place was beautiful.

Encik Ismail is a busy man but he

Umar and his friends planted the flower
trees, pruned the shrubs, and trimmed the
hedges. As saying goes, ‘many hands make
light work’, the gotong royong ended before
noon. The headmaster was satisfied. The
teachers, parents, and pupils were as happy as
a lark.

Last Sunday morning, Amin and his

mother went to the market near their house.
His mother wanted to buy some fish,

sandcastle. Later, they swam. While they were
swimming, his parents kept their eyes on

classmates went to their school. They wanted
to help their teachers to beautify the garden.

Puan Salina, their teachers watered the flower
trees using a watering can.
Puan Salina’s husband pushed the lawn
mower. He trimmed the grass. They went
home an hour later. They were tired but

ZOO

It was 9.30 a.m. Ali and his family were at

the National Zoo. Ali was excited because it
was the first time he visited the zoo.
After buying their tickets, a family of four
immediately got into the zoo. They walked
slowly passing some cages. Ali stopped at
the tiger cage. He was stunned to see the
tiger. Then, he had an elephant ride. Later, he
saw three tall giraffes and a few cobras and
pythons. They took some pictures of
themselves there. They returned home at 4.00
p.m. Ali and his family had an enjoyable trip.

It was 5.30 a.m. Ali and his family were at

the park near their house. He was happy.
When they reached the park, he saw
many people doing their own activities. Some
people were jogging on the path, some were
doing exercises, and some others were
reading the newspapers and playing some
games.
At the garden, he saw a man selling ice-
cream. Ali bought an ice-cream for himself
from him. Ali and his family spent about one
hour there. They had a wonderful time

VILLAGE

It was Sunday morning. Residents of

Kampung Batu were at the park. They had a
gotong royong.
Some villagers repaired the small bridge
while some others were cleaning the
compound. They collected the rubbish and
dried leaves. Then, they put them into the
garbage bag they brought from home.
A few villagers cut the grass using their
lawnmowers. Meanwhile, the headman
planted some trees. The gotong royong
ended at 12.00 p.m. The villagers were tired
but satisfied.
