PRINCIPLE OF AUToCLAVE

An autoclave is a device used to sterilize equipment and


equipment by subjecting material to saturated high pressure
steam at 121 ° C for about 15-20 minutes, depending on the
size of the load and the contents.

“ THE FUNCTION OF AUTOCLAVE SECTION

1 Steam Valve
Steam valve is one of the important components and


functions as a place for discharge of water vapor.

2 Pressure Gauge
The pressure gauge functions to determine the amount of vapor
pressure in the autoclave when the sterilization process is in progress.

3 Bell Timer
Timer that functions to regulate the length of time or
shortly the sterilization process, according to the needs
/ uses needed.

4 Thermoswitch
Thermometer is a component that serves to
find out and observe the temperature needed.

5 Chamber/Alumunium container

Aluminum container serves to place various
materials or tools to be sterilized.

6 Pin Clamp Bolt


Safety screws are needed to maintain the amount
and pressure of vapor in the autoclave

7 On/Off Toggle Swith
This button functions to turn on or turn off the
autoclave engine.

8 Clamp Bolt

The safety valve functions as an anchor or
autoclave cover lock.

9 Heat Source Plate


This section is a component that will help
change electrical energy into heat energy.
