Air Inlet Shut Off Applications
 Airborne hydrocarbons present a danger
to diesel engines in petroleum-based
applications.
 Hydrocarbons may be drawn into the air
intake system causing the engine to
accelerate out of control with the risk of
fire and explosion.
Air Inlet Shutoff
Positively blocks engine
airflow and stops the
engine by closing a
spring-loaded flap on the
air inlet in case of engine
runaway or mechanical
failure.
