simultaneously pressing it with adequate force into the
rock.

DTH Drilling
Valved Hammer - upto 150 PSIG
Valveless Hammer - from 150 PSIG to 350 PSIG
Penetration rate with DTH drilling increased dramatically
with increase in the air pressure. The volume of air required
also increases consequently. The chart shows how drilling
rate and CFM vary with change in drilling air pressure for
valved and valveless hammer.

Concrete Vibrators

Air Powered Vibrator has the advantage of safety,

ruggedness and high frequency over engine driven
vibrators. This is extensively used to eliminate stone
pockets entrapped air in the slump concrete for columns,
footings, slabs and walls.

Wagon drill

This is used for DTH conventional drilling in mines,

quarries, grouting and anchoring. This is used for drilling
of 50 to 125 mm diameter rocks upto 90 meters depth.
ELGI model is DH 05018 (450/150) It has got separate
rotation motor which ensures uniform and reliable
performance of drill holes and traction motor for shifting
and repositioning from hole to hole.
