About The Book
 The whole book is a a story of walton works , an iron plant in
America, that’s in deep trouble. Profits are down, and the
employees are hostile towards the new CEO that’s just been hired.
 Ken and Sheldon Decide to meet Peggy Sinclair who’s been hired
as a CEO of Walton Works .
 Peggy Sinclair narrates them how with the help of one her
employees , Andy Longclaw who was about to be fired by his
Divisional manager she turned the Plant from worst to one of the
nation’s finest places to work.
 Andy Longclaw teaches the concept of Gung Ho ! to Peggy Sinclair

 You should have a goal which should be shared and to
achieve that goal you should be motivated , courageous
and determined

 Employees should plan their own work
 Do not hide anything from your employees tell them
the truth nothing but whole truth.
 Give them the freedom to work, do not over and under
estimate the people over and under performing.
 Look at where they do not qualify as performer , train
them but do not fire them because nothing can be more
unethical than this
 Value your employees as they are the best you have .
 Do not rip your employee’s self esteem

 Lastly, the way of the goose, is about cheering each
other on
 Acknowledge your people’s work when they out do
 Appreciate your people in front of whole staff it would
boost them, make them work more effectively and
efficiently
 Have faith in your employees let them take charge of
territory which is tricky , toil , tough to deal with
 let them take important decision , involve them as well
while taking important decisions , call for their ideas
 Its not that people do not want monetary appreciation
My Views
 Awareness of the Importance of work amongst people
 Our jobs makes world a better place , each has to play their part
 Importance of leadership in organisational transformation
 It is practical common sense which is usually not practiced
