School year 2008-2009 was another
milestone for Anilaonons when
Anilao National High School
offered a
Subsidiary Curriculum, the
Special Program in the
Arts.
The main objective of this offering is
to hone the talents in the field of
Culture and Arts.
Being new to the curriculum, did not
compel the school administration to
offer the complete six specialization
areas which are Music, Dance,
Visual Arts, Theater Arts, Media
Arts and Creative Writing.
 Although the school was not equipped with
the much needed teaching aids and teacher
specialists, yet it operated very well year after
year which can even be at for with other big
schools in Region VI-Western Visayas.
 Thus, in order to awaken the artistic
potentials of young Anilaonons through
the program that would enable them to
take up Basic Education and at the same
time focus on a major ART suited to
their talents, the Special Program in the
Arts of Anilao National High School
where able to have the following
practices:
 BANA-AG FESTIVAL
Bana-ag Festival features the spectacle of lights and colors
as a medium to depict the history, life and culture of
Anilaonons. In this way the particular SPA students lead the
said Festival every year in their respective tribes and
showcases their inner talents.
Every year BAN-AWAN is one of the activities in
which students would prepare and present their
best production and outputs in their respective
specialization.
 And for the past eleven years was able to
showcase every conventional, artistic, splendid
and even globally competitive presentations.
 COMMUNITY SERVICE
Our SPA students wholeheartedly render their services to
fellow Anilaonons through sharing their talents and skills in
the field of Arts.
