What is an Emotion?
Emotion is a mental state associated with the
nervous system brought on by chemical
changes variously associated with thoughts,
feelings, behavioral responses, and a degree
of pleasure or displeasure.

There is currently no scientific consensus on a


definition. 
What is Emotional Intelligence

The capacity to be aware of, control, and


express one's emotions, and to handle
interpersonal relationships judiciously and
empathetically.

• Peter Salovey and John D. Mayer coined the
term 'Emotional Intelligence' in 1990
describing.
• It is “a form of social intelligence that
involves the ability to monitor one's own and
others' feelings & emotions, to discriminate
among them, and to use this information to
guide one's thinking and action”.
