SMS Call Flow
A mobile sends a short message to the visiting MSC (the MSC handling the mobile's calls). At the same time, it provides
the address of the SMS Center to which the message has to be directed, as well as the mobile number. The VLR contains
the Global Title Address of the SCP and the trigger information associated with the subscriber.

The VMSC sends an ÌDP to the SCP using it's Global Title Address. The SCP checks the account status of the subscriber
and then it sends the Continue message to the SSP if the subscriber is having sufficient credit.

The VMSC uses the Global Title Address to route the message to the MSC/VLR to which the SMSC is directly
connected.

The MSC/VLR sends the short message, via X./TCPÌP interface, to the SMSC attached to it. Ìf the message is
successfully submitted then only the money is deducted from the subscribers account.

The SMSC stores the message and forward it to MSC for delivery. The MSC asks the HLR for the location of the
recipient subscriber.

The HLR provides the location information which GMSC uses when sending the short message to the recipient.
