Present Scenario Aim of PMS Application Process Flow Functional Architecture ~ User Design Interfaces ~ General Concepts ~ Screens ~ Reports ~ Graphs
Environmental parameters are measured at Chemistry departments in Power stations Various reports are prepared by the Station EMG using locally developed S/W packages Each station sends prior month environmental monitoring information reports to RHQ and CC for the use of Corporate EMG. Reports from all sites are consolidated at Corporate EMG by re-entering the data. Further reports are generated for necessary action
The Aim To achieve continual improvement in NTPC¶s environmental performance through ± improved monitoring ± improved reporting ± trend analysis ± better data management techniques To make the information available ³Anytime. Anywhere´ in the user friendly GUI/ Web based formats through implementation of PMS. 4 .
flexible retrieval of data y Standardization of formats and uniform implementation of application y User friendly reporting /query facility in GUI formats y Computerized information flow (no manual dependence) y Proper maintenance of historical data for trend analysis 5 .The Application PMS will provide for the effective management of environment around NTPC¶s existing plants by: y Streamlined. effective and efficient information flow y Data is captured only once at its source (No redundant data entry) y Systematic storage of data in database for easy.
