The Church part 12 The Prophetic Past, Present and Future

Pastor Kerry Wilson

‡ We are now entering the time period of the church known as the last days, this time period is culminated by an event known as the Rapture. The word rapture is not found in the New Testament but is from the greek word harpazo which means to snatch or catch away and from the latin, rapio which is translated, to seize suddenly or snatch away. In english it is translated, to translate to a place of euphoria

‡ There has been much written about this event, and many questions posed. What is the rapture? Can I be saved after the rapture, the mark of the beast, the person of the Antichrist, What happens after the rapture, Jesus spoke many things concerning the last days and the culture of the world before and at His coming. The world is preparing for this event because God has ordained it, in many instances they don t even know they are moving in this direction.

‡ Our battlegrounds are becoming much more deceptive or not easily recognized as this spiritual warfare intensifies. Everyone who is called of God must answer the call from their position in Christ. Obviously the final state of that is found in the predestination of the called to be conformed to the image of Christ

‡ Isaiah 33:6 and wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and the strength of thy salvation ‡ I want to address just the spiritual battle during this portion, there are several issues surrounding the last days , the world of course and Israel of course. I want to look at the signs inside the church that are prohibitive in nature to our walk.

False Prophets and Christ Matt 24 Delusion Matt 24:5,11 Betrayal inside of the church Matt 24:10 Love of many waxing cold Matt 24:12 Independence Matt 22 Some will say that we are preaching too hard, or calling for a commitment above and beyond, however for me it is simply a love for the truth , which I am depending on to help me during the perfect storm

‡ Ezekiel 13:3-7 (King James Version) ‡ 3Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! ‡ 4O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. ‡ 5Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD. ‡ 6They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word. ‡ 7Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?

thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it. ‡ 14So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. ‡ 15Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it; ‡

‡ Ezekiel 13:10-15 (King James Version) ‡ 10Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter: ‡ 11Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it. ‡ 12Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?

‡ Last week we entered into the arena of natural relationships as they pertain to spiritual relationships. We spoke of security and intimacy. ‡ Lack of provision, protection and security will lead to a lack of trust and intimacy in any relationship. Intimacy contains emotion, it is a true saying that we are intimate with that which feels good to us Whatever that image is in our mind, our will chooses in most cases.

In many cases we are like Daniel, surrounded by a heathen culture, compromise and opportunity to be a part of that culture prevalent. We must also be like Daniel when it comes to God making known to us the mystery of His counsel.

‡ Daniel 9:2-3 (King James Version) ‡ 2In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. ‡ 3And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

‡ Daniel 9:21-22 (King James Version) ‡ 21Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. ‡ 22And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

‡ Daniel 10:11-14 (King James Version) ‡ 11And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. ‡ 12Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. ‡ 14Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. ‡

‡ The church doesn t even understand her own power, you don t understand your own power. ‡ You can and will usher in this move of God as you begin to make yourself known and come to this calling in Christ. Not your self examination, not others view of your failures and shortcomings, but as you begin to pronounce the word of the Lord in and to the heavenlies .

‡ Daniel 10:20-21 (King James Version) ‡ 20Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. ‡ 21But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince. ‡ God is taking care of things

‡ It is impossible to minister on the rapture without the bridal paradigm being established. ‡ My intention today is to reveal the glory of God in the church because of her calling .. ‡ Revelation 19:7Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

‡ Revelation 22:17 (King James Version) ‡ 17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. ‡ This is the result of intimacy with Christ, the gospel becomes alive and we birth children in this intimacy .

‡ Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. ‡ It is inside of this understanding of our protection and provision that we are changed in our love and devotion to Him ..

‡ The Song of Solomon reveals this love as it grows and comes to a place of culmination called the Rapture My love grows as I grow Every relationship has phases. A Mature Love ‡ Song of Solomon 8:6-7 (King James Version) ‡ 6Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. ‡ 7Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

‡ Love has come to mean many things in our world. I am not Greek, and I am not Hebrew but I have found that as my love has matured, that it rises to the degree of commitment and care that any situation calls for ‡ Initial Stage of Love . Rose colored but not deep . ‡ Song of Solomon 1:4 (King James Version) ‡ 4Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.

‡ Selfish Love ‡ Song of Solomon 5:2-4 (King James Version) ‡ 2I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night. ‡ 3I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them? ‡ 4My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.

‡ Independence ‡ Song of Solomon 5:6-8 (King James Version) ‡ 6I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer. ‡ 7The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me. ‡ 8I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love.

‡ A Transforming Love . ‡ Song of Solomon 6:9-13 (King James Version) ‡ 9My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her. ‡ 10Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?

went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished and the pomegranates budded. ‡ 12Or ever I was aware, my soul made me like the chariots of Amminadib. ‡ 13Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies. ‡
