As the marketing of a product is becoming a difficult task now a day, it has become important to study about the marketing procedures adopted by a company no longer caw of company figure out of the products. Marketing is facing very stiff competition many particular brand solely depends upon efficiency in capacity in hotel interest of customer and secondly on its capacity in giving satisfaction to consumer. so Marketing a challenging task for a company producing Heavy Machinery to become success full in the market.

OBJECTIVES

To study about promotional strategies of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. The vital objectives is to study what are the marketing strategies followed by Visakhapatnam Steel Plant for the development as well as its pricing policies for which the company earns a huge amount of profit. To study the marketing procedure and strategies of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant in Domestic / Home sales. To know about promotional strategies of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

METHODOLOGY

Primary Data The Primary data collected with the help of a Supervisor, Employees, Managers and leaders give us needful information. not only these people Store attendees, Plumbers, Store Keeps, Pump Operator, Crane Operator, Store Carpenter also helped so much to prepare the data. They gave the information in personal way.. Secondary Data The Secondary data collected both from the published and unpublished records for the company. In addition to this standard book a management of industrial relations and journals may be used to prepare the data.

LIMITATIONS

Time constraints for in depth study. Wide area of customers. Changing policies from time to time. Changing policies from product to product . Wide range of products.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY


The role whole salers and retailers in present day marketing scenario. The study is resides to Vishakhapatnam zonal office and its territory The study is concentrated on market channels of the company ,i.e. dealing of retailers company channels and intermediates The various factors influencing the selection of distribution channels of the company

INTERPRETATION: From the above , we observed that 42% of the sellers optioned that performance of vizag steel in the market is good.

INTERPRETATION: From the above , we observed that 48% of respondents are showing very high preference , 3% of respondents are showing low preference.

FINDINGS

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant Market share on all over India basic, it has been increased 8.3% to 13%. In case of domestic sales, including by products has been increased 8.4% to 19%. Visakhapatnam Steel Plant face a lot of competition of SAIL. Visakhapatnam Steel Plants pricing policies have excellent responses from its customers. Visakhapatnam Steel Plants market share in south region has been increased 42% to 45%, it indicates, 7.1% growth rate in market share in south region. VSP is carrying on its promotional activities through press and technical seminars

SUGGESTIONS

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant shall take necessary steps more on avoid competition and go towards customer satisfaction through the Product Quality and proper distribution. Visakhapatnam Steel Plant will take the necessary steps more on its promotional strategies for increasing its market share in all over India. Visakhapatnam Steel Plant better to maintain consignment sales agents for its market expansion. Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has made vision 2020- Growth Strategy, where it has defined core values and key results area. It has also made year wise planning for capacity enhancement. The market share to RINL in south and west region in increased but in north and west regions it is decreased so RINL will take necessary steps on its promotional activities in an adequate manner in north and east regions
