EDUARDO RETURNS ALWAYS TO MOM

This is Eduardo, the only boy in the playgroup today!

He is 20 months old and likes to play manipulating toys. He played with toys, explored the area and always went back to see his mom, Lillian.. **Explain why he returns to his Mom. Do you think is normal ? Why?

LEARNING TO TALK

Eduardo found Julia’s wand and called it “Taaa.” His mom made approving gestures and said “STAR!” in reply. Eduardo cannot articulate short sentences yet, as Julia does. Why do you think this happens? Still, Eduardo smiles a lot and knows he is his Mom’s STAR!

This is

Hannah, my
niece. She is 20 months old, like Eduardo. She also likes to play with the wand. She does not talk much. Her Mom speaks to her in spanish and her Dad and brother in English **Do you think her Mom should worry about this? Why?

According to Piaget , children at the age of Hannah are learning with their senses: the sensorimotor stage. That’s the reason why she loves to be surrounded with all these colors and shapes
