Jesus performed a miracle that involved changing water into wine. the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing. and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. Jesus' mother was there. -Nearby stood six stone water jars. -Before Jesus began his public ministry. he attended a wedding in Cana with his mother Mary and some of his disciples. ‡ ‡ .First miracle: Jesus Turns Water into Wine ‡ -On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. During the wedding banquet. each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.

as in the Baptism of Jesus . the prophets Moses and Elijah appear next to him and he speaks with them. Jesus begins to shine with bright rays of light. On the mountain. Jesus is then called "Son" by a voice in the sky. assumed to be God the Father.His Transfiguration ‡ In these accounts Jesus and three of his apostles go to a mountain (the Mount of Transfiguration).

The result was that the people were astonished at seeing dumb men speak. And great crowds came to him. he broke them with a prayer of thanksgiving and gave them to the disciples to pass on to the people. crippled men healed. crippled. lame men walking about and blind men having recovered their sight. then climbed the hill and sat down. bringing with them people who were lame. walked along the shore of the lake of Galilee. And they praised the God of Israel. ‡ -And when he had taken the seven loaves and the fish into his hands. They simply put them down at his feet and he healed them. blind and many others. .The Multiple Fed ‡ -Jesus left.

‡ -After the Romans crucified Jesus. he was buried in a new tomb but he rose from the dead and appeared to many people over a span of forty days before his return to heaven (Ascension).His Resurrection ‡ -After Jesus was crucified. he died and was buried in a tomb. On the third day. he was resurrected. . meaning that God had restored Jesus to life.

. such as Matthew 10 where he stated "your faith has healed you".Purpose of Jesus' miracles ‡ Jesus performs miracles to show that He was truly the Son of God. ‡ He also did them to show His mercy and His love for men. and that He was God like the Father. ‡ Many times Jesus linked faith to healing. The miracles of Jesus revealed the need for faith in Him for salvation. especially the needy.
