Whats a Leader? A leader is a person who has a vision, a drive and a commitment to achieve that vision, and the skills to make it happen. Whats Leadership? Leadership is the ability to motivate a group of people toward a common goal.

Leadership development refers to any activity that enhances the quality of leadership within an individual, group or organization. It focuses on the development of leadership as a process. This will include the interpersonal relationships, social influence process, and the team dynamics, the contextual factors surrounding such as the perception of the organizational climate and the social network linkages between the purpose and other groups to work around within the cause.

This is often where people struggle. People react to what they think the problem is. Instead, seek to understand more about why you think there's a problem. Defining the problem: (Ask yourself) a. What can you see that causes you to think there's a problem? Now think b. Where is it happening? c. How is it happening? d. When is it happening? e. With whom is it happening? f. Why is it happening?

EXERCISE
Write down a five-sentence description of the problem in terms of Jmmm "The following should be happening, but isn't ..." or "The following is happening and should be: ..." As much as possible, be specific in your description, including what is happening, where, how, with whom and why. (It may be helpful at this point to identify and make started with our plans and settle down our projects to be implemented in our community to make it work) ANY WONDERFUL IDEAS???!!!

Top Steps To Develop Leadership Skills


What you think? Are leaders born or made? Well, leaders are born, but only in la la land!!! You can be born with the traits of a leader but the right encouragement is a must for developing leadership skills. Then while developing leadership skills at an early stage has its advantages, its never too late to start if you havent yet discovered the leader in you! And thats not a whole load of motivational hogwashIS POWER!!!!

Lets take a look at the why and how of developing leadership skills.
Successful Change and Action requires more than just assigning tasks and have a calendar. It calls for a leader who can inspire other members of the community to achieve their full potential. People want to be guided by a person they respect, someone who has a clear sense of direction. To be that person, there are certain things that you must BE, KNOW and DO.

Steps to be a good leader


Listen hard: when your community speak to you about all their work related worries, hear them out. You could convey empathy, suggest alternatives and create harmony within the team. GREAT LEADERS ARE GREAT LISTENERS!!!!! Make that Connection: take complete responsibility for how you are heard. Always rephrase your message to make it sound positive. Effective communication is a fine art.

Steps to be a good leader


Be a peoples person: an integral part of developing leadership skills is to learn to respect other peoples capabilities and diversities. Let the whole group take decisions on certain issues and take a blessing their experiences. Trust them with their work; dont be a watchdog. Lead by example: your work team must believe in your integrity, and that you really mean what you say. Be prepared to put your money where your mouth is. It works like a charm!

Steps to be a good leader


Share leadership: distribute tasks among other activists members depending on the situation and individual strengths. You become a better leader by involving more people in the leadership process. Evaluate your success: your prime responsibility is to ensure success and development of the goal and the actions to take to make change and impact. Focus on building the skills as this will enhance motivation and team performance in case of a group action. Remember, the success is for all!

Steps to be a good leader


Have integrity: People have to believe that you are pursuing your dream because it's the right thing to do, not just because you are ego driven. IS MORE THAN A CAUSE!!! Be positive: (In all the way =)- A leader encourages and rewards people and makes you want to do it and do it right. A leader is not a negative person and doesn't waste time and effort telling everyone what they're doing wrong.

And if you dont have a group of people to work of follow: Self lead yourself!! Too often, we assume that leading always means leading others- Sometimes we need to lead by our own. Use your power!!-Recognizing and managing it can be very healthy if we want to make a change and an impact in our communities. In this case building and taking control of the power can lead us to a success Action.
