KINDNESS

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

GOD IS KIND TO US.
Romans 2:4Gods kindness leads us to repentance. Instead of condemning us and rejecting us, God showed His kindness to us through sending Jesus to be our Saviour. Titus 3:4, 5 When the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.

Ephesians 2:7In the ages to come God will show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 2:3Having tasted that the Lord is kind our spiritual life should mature and reflect that kindness.

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another. Jesus gave us a wonderful illustration of kindness in the parable of the Good Samaritan.
Kindness is to be displayed even to those not in our group.

Kindness doesnt just see a need, but gets involved. Kindness often costs us something. Kindness is limited only by our choices to express it.

Colossians 3:12As Gods chosen people . . . clothe yourselves with kindness. Often we are eloquent in speaking of grace, and love, and mercy; but we falter when it comes to doing justly, showing mercy, being gracious.

SOME DYNAMICS OF KINDNESS
Sensitivity to the feelings and needs of others Kindness is the necessary oil that lubricates relationships with others and minimizes normal frictions of life. Kindness is sensitive to the personal dignity and worth of each individual. The sense of self-worth, dignity, and personal esteem so essential to human well-being depends in large measure on the kindness received from others.

Generosity in its expression. Try a little kindnesslittle may refer to the act of kindness, but never the attitude of kindness. Through kindness it is in our grasp, abundantly to enrich the lives of others.

Kindness gives God a human face. God expresses His kindness to the world through His children. Before we preach Jesus to our neighbour, let us show Jesus to our neighbour by our kindness. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbour . . . Let no one every come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of Gods kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.
