Pakistan Muslim League (N). .Introduction  Nawaz Sharif was born dec 25. 1949 and a pakistani politician who served as 12th prime minister in two non-consecutive terms from Nov 1990-July 1993 and Feb1997-Oct1999.  He was Chief Minister of Punjab from 1985 to 1990.  He leads the political party.

 During his second term. . he notably ordered Pakistan's first nuclear tests in response to India's nuclear tests.Cont..  His first term was shortened after the Pakistan Army pressured him to resign.  He is a wealthy businessman and a conservative politician.

who was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. .Initial political career  He maintained an alliance with General Rahimuddin Khan. Sharif also had close ties with ISI Director-LieutenantGeneral (retired) Hamid Gul.  During his political career.

 He was credited with increasing funding for sports activities and rural projects. he initially joined as a member of the Punjab Advisory Council under President General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq.  Shariff would also served as the Provincial Minister of Finance and Provincial Minister of Sports. .Punjab Advisory Council  In 1981.
