Communication is derived from the Latin word communis means transmitting information .

Communication is any behavior that results in an exchange of meaning The American Management Association.

The type of communication: Verbal communication communication through words Non verbal communication Non-verbal communication simply refers to using body language and unspoken words to communicate, deliver, and convey a message.

HOW CAN BODY LANGUAGE HELP YOU IN INTERVIEW ..???.

An interview is a conversation between two or more people (the interviewer and the interviewee) where questions are asked by the interviewer to obtain information from the interviewee.. During Interview the following body language plays an important part: Proper Body posture : sitting up straight in the chair : confident Sitting on the edge of the chair: nervous leaning forward a little to listen to the interviewer: interest and attention Proper Gestures crossing your arms: defensive move. hands loosely on the lap : comfortable with the interview process nodding the head occasionally while speaking: to give more meaning to the saying. saying Hand movements: to support what you are saying. saying Some of the acts that may irritate the interviewer could include: Biting nails. Toying with a pen Eye Contact:. By looking directly at the other person we are giving them a sign of trust . Body Language of Your Interviewers The body gestures of your interviewers can give you an indication of how well you are coming across to them. This can serve as a signal to change your approach at an early stage

Body language provide essential clues and indications about the suitability for the job.

2. Based on the body language, an interviewer may know whether:


you are confident or not, if you are the shy type or the friendly type, if you are a loner or a team player, or They can tell if you are capable of handling the job, if you are devoted, or if youre someone who can get along with other employees. Based on their questions, the interviewer will not only pay attention to what you say, but also on how you say it. How you can decode the body language of your interviewer in relation to your own body language will determine the thin line if you get that job or not.

HOW CAN BODY LANGUAGE HELP YOU IN COUNSELLING..?????...

Counselling is the means by which one person helps another to make a decision about an issue and act on that decision . The counselor should be aware of their posture, facial expressions, eye contact, hand gestures, dress etc. Some key facts related to body language during counselling: Counselor's smile makes the person being counseled feel relaxed and comfortable, warmth & openness. Keep your facial expressions relaxed - friendly. Maintaining good eye contact - respect and interest in what they have to say. Hand gestures can make us seem enthusiastic A relaxed body posture will help us to appear and feel more relaxed and confident. confident Head position will make the people realized that the whether the counselor is confident, self assured, serious, authoritative. authoritative Personal space Avoid being too close or too far away physically because being too close can make them uncomfortable or too far can make them feel rejected.

Counselor's and the person being counseled, their face, eyes, hands (gestures), and posture express what is going on inside the mind.

The body language during counselling : Provides respect and sensitivity freely express the real concerns. Giving attention to the concern and maintain confidentiality.

Smiling, making eye contact, using open gestures, and using good posture can bring up our level of self-confidence. Thus it is very important for a counselor to improve their body language.

HOW BODY LANGUAGE HELPS YOU IN FEEDBACK ..?????

Feedback is the response or

the return message from receiver.

The feedback enables the

sender to evaluate the effectiveness of his/her message .

positive feedback: smile, nodding of the head, direct eye contact, leaning towards front to listen properly

negative feedback: if looking distracted, Cheek on hands-sleepy, angry, blank look, leaning back

Body language plays a major role in giving a clear idea about the understanding of the receiver. 1. Positive feedback builds up self confidence 2. Negative feedback suggests to improve our performance.

Body language tell us a lot about a persons personality and therefore it is very important to polish our body language and non-verbal gestures. Body language helps in determining the interest and the intentions of the related parties which helps us in coming to a conclusion.
