EXPLORTORY RESEARCH
research is a type of research conducted for a problem that has not been clearly defined Exploratory research is used principally to gain a deeper understanding of something.
 Exploratory

DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH
 It

includes surveys and fact- finding of different kinds. Purpose of this research is description of the state of affairs, as it exists at present. Example: frequency of shopping or preference of people.

ANALYTICAL RESEARCH

The researcer has to use facts or information already available, and analyze these to make a critical evaluation of the material. Analytical research describes and interprets the past or recent past from selected sources.

 Applied

FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH

It refers to gathering knowledge for knowledges sake . It is more concerned with the formulation of a theory. Research concerning some natural phenomenon or relating to pure mathematics are examples of fundamental research.

QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH
 It

is based on the measurement of quantity of amount. It is applicable to phenomena that can be expressed in terms of quantity. Example: Research conducted to know the speed of bullet fired from pistol is quantitative research.
