An

outlet is a small structure which admits water from the distributing channel to a water course Requirements of canal outlets.

NON-MODULAR OUTLET:-A non-modular outlet is the one in which the discharge depends upon the difference in level between the water levels in the distributing channel and the water course

PIPE OUTLET

TYPICAL LAYOUT OF PIPE OUTLET AS RECOMMENDED BY-IS : 7986-1976

In the case of a flexible outlet, the discharge is affected by the change in the water level of the distributing channel but not with the change in the water level of the field channel TYPES Pipe outlet discharging freely in the atmosphere Kennedys gauge outlet Open flume outlet Orifice semi-modules
