1) Bank of America Student Leaders 1) http://www.bankofamerica.com/foundation/index.cfm?template=fd_studentleaders 1) As a Bank of America Student Leader, you will participate in an all-expense paid week-long Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. in July. This leadership development program will provide you with valuable perspective on civic, social and business partnerships as positive forces of change within our communities. The Student Leadership Summit is directed by the Close Up Foundation, the nation's leading civic education provider. The combination of your summer internship experience at a nonprofit and leadership development through the Bank of America Student Leadership Summit will develop your skills and strengthen your understanding of how to build on your commitment to improving your community. 2) Be A Leader Institute High School (BLIH) 1) http://www.bealeaderfoundation.org/programs/institute-high-school.aspx 1) BLIH is a program for high school students that provide monthly workshops to help them build a college-going mentality and teach them critical academic test taking skills that are necessary to become prepared for college requirements including entrance exams. BALF's goal is to increase their interest in and awareness of college by teaching a university focused curriculum. BALF will continue to work directly with these individuals to develop a network of college bound students through each of the campus Be A Leader Clubs. (Arizona Based) 3) Cesar E. Chavez Leadership Institute 1) http://outreach.asu.edu/ccli/home 1) The Cesar E. Chavez Leadership Institute is a high-energy, residential leadership program at Arizona State University for Arizona high school sophomores and juniors. For one week selected students participate in workshops and activities exploring higher education, leadership development and community engagement while living on the ASU campus. 4) Louis August Jonas Foundation 1) http://www.lajf.org/overview.cfm 1) The Louis August Jonas Foundation operates a full scholarship, international leadership summer program for teenagers selected for their character and leadership potential. We bring together a diverse group of gifted, highly motivated young people from twenty countries around the world to participate in Camp Rising Sun seven weeks of program carefully designed to promote personal growth, leadership skills, a service ethic, and intercultural understanding.
