INDUSTRIAL RELATION
MEANING: The term industrial relations is used to refer to the relations between the parties concerned with industry. Industrial relations are as old as industry itself, though with the passage of time the problems connected with the employer employee relations have grown considerably in number and complexity. It falls under two heads viz. personnel relations and labor relations. The term personnel refers to individual and labor relation in collectivity. It does not solely depended on responsiveness of labor but equally on the responsiveness of management or with the labor or with the both. Labor-management relation is a sum total of relationship that exists in all the level of organizational structure. The relationship b/w the organized labor or employer is known as labor relations.

DEFINATION
The term industrial relation has been described as relationship between management and employees or amongst employees and their organizations that characterize or grow out of employment. -Dale Yodar

industrial relation is concerned with the systems and procedure used by unions and employers to determine the reward for effort and other conditions of employment, to protect the interests of the employed and their employers and to regulate the ways in which employers treat their employees. -Michael Armstrong

Communicate intent to the leavers: by dispelling unrealistic expectation learners gain a clear sense of current status and desired outcome to better measure personal progress.

Provide means for evaluation : the objective established a framework for measuring the degree to which a learner has acquired desired skill or can perform desired function.
