and then layering in cross sections. thin fiber made by heating synthetic fibers. .Materials Considered For the Analysis COMPOSITE MATERIAL (CARBON EPOXY FIBER MATERIALS) High-performance aircraft require an extra high strength-toweight ratio material. Fabrication of composite materials satisfies this special requirement. Carbon fiber is extremely strong. until charred. These materials are mechanically fastened to conventional substructures. such as rayon. Composite materials are constructed by using several layers of bonding materials (graphite epoxy or boron epoxy). Another type of composite construction consists of thin graphite epoxy skins bonded to an aluminum honeycomb core.

. It has the symbol al and its atomic number is 13.ALUMINIUM • Aluminium is a silvery white member of the boron group of chemical elements. Instead. Aluminium is too reactive chemically to occur in nature as a free metal. Structural components made from aluminum and its alloys are vital to the aerospace industry and are very important in other areas of transportation and building. It makes up about 8% by weight of the earth's solid surface. it is found combined in over 270 different minerals. • Aluminium is remarkable for the metal's low density and for its ability to resist corrosion due to the phenomenon of passivation. The chief source of aluminum is bauxite ore.

Software details Application of hypermesh software • Altair HyperMesh is a high-performance finite-element pre-processor for popular finite-element solvers. . morphing technology to update existing meshes to new design proposals and automatic mid-surface generation for complex designs with varying wall thicknesses. It allows engineers to analyze product design performance in a highly interactive and visual environment. Solid geometry enhances tetra-meshing and hexa-meshing by reducing interactive modeling times. Advanced functionality within Hypermesh allows users to efficiently manipulate geometry and mesh highly complex models. • HyperMesh’s user interface is easy to learn and supports a number of CAD geometry and finite-element model file formats. thereby increasing interoperability and efficiency. These functionalities include extensive meshing and model control. while batch meshing enables large scale meshing of parts with no manual clean-up and minimal user input.
