Details of Application
1.1 Full planning consent is sought to construct twenty six units of holiday accommodationthat would be located adjacent to an existing holiday park that includes tent pitchesand static caravans. The submitted plans show that the proposed units would belocated to the west of the existing holiday site and within an area of land that isadjacent to open farmland.1.2 The submitted plans show that the units would be designed as permanent structuresand have the appearance of one and two storey dwelling houses. The units would bearranged in terraces of three and four houses and one detached cottage (unit 12) andarranged around new access roads and existing protected trees. The specific design ofunits would vary and include thatched cottages, terraces of single and two-storeytraditional cottages and terraces of courtyard style cottages. Materials would includestone, brick, timber boarding, natural slate, clay tiles and thatch.1.3 The proposed development would include eighteen two-bed holiday units and eightthree-bed holiday units. Each of the holiday units would include small private amenityareas and a total of twenty six parking spaces would be provided within the site. Thesubmitted plans show that significant landscaping would be provided.
