A poly story with love and kindness and most of all respect for each other. I loved it much more than I thought. It was so much more

So I didn’t read the reviews before starting this and was a bit surprised to find that this book tackled the topic of polyamory and the protagonist working through determining whether he could be comfortable with a less traditional relationship. I thought the way this was tackled was very honest and did not feel trite or cliche. The particular issues Mason has were personal but also touched on universal themes.

This book also had very good amount of visibility of secondary characters. The balance of introducing them and having them stay relevant without taking over the story can be tricky and I always appreciate when it is well done.

I think this is a book that I will be thinking about for a while and may come back to again. Will definitely see if I can find more books by the narrator as his style was somehow both soothing and sexy. He got all growly at certain points and it was fucking hot.
