Cade Massey is a visiting assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. His research is on judgment under uncertainty, including overconfidence, optimism and under- and over-reaction. He is the co-author of “The Loser’s Curse: Overconfidence vs. Market Efficiency in the NFL Draft.” Massey has a BBA from The University of Texas, a PhD and MBA from The University of Chicago, and taught at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and Yale School of Management before moving to Wharton.
Rufus Peabody is a professional sports analyst who lives in Las Vegas, NV. Previously he worked as a statistical analyst for Las Vegas Sports Consultants, the largest and most influential oddsmaking company in the world. He has a B.A. in Economics from Yale University, where he wrote his senior thesis on inefficiencies in performance evaluation in the Major League Baseball betting market.
