Since 1993 he has published worldwide in both popular and academic venues on culture, music, and technology, as well as covering adventure travel for leading international publications.
Tobias is the recipient of the Standard National Radio Award for Broadcasting Excellence (1998) and the Silver Award for Best Photo Essay from the BC Newspaper Association (2018).
Tobias holds a Ph.D in Philosophy and Communication Studies from McGill University and is currently Research Fellow in Media and Cultural Studies at University of California Riverside.view less
