Hearts Awakening (Hearts Along the River Book #1)

by

I was VERY excited to win Hearts Awakening by Delia Parr. When I started this book, I realized it was one I wasn't going to be able to put down until I knew all the secrets to the book. Ellie and Jackson marry for convenience and try to make their marriage work. The little ups and downs they have along the way help them to fall in love with each other. On a side note, I wished the author would have written one more chapter and not ended so fast. Without giving away the ending, I felt it ended fairly fast after EVERYTHING happens. But over all, this was an amazing book and I would share it with others!
Fields of Grace (Heart of the Prairie Book #4)

I was so excited when I found out I was one of the ones to review this new book of Kim Vogel Sawyer. I'd never read anything by her before and am glad I had the chance to read this book. Very interesting how she goes back to the beginning of when the Mennonites started coming to America. You see the hard work and heartache they went through in this book and what people really had to go through back then to start new. Always been a sucker for reading books about convient marriage, so when a proposal is given, I was really getting into the book. Loved how she brought grace into the book. How each one of them needed grace. Enjoyed reading this book, although it wasn't my favorite book I've ever read, I will say that I would read another book by her again. Can't wait to see it come out in stores!

Robin Jones Gunn has done it again. Could.not.put.it.down. This book felt like a HUGE reunion from books Robin had written before. All my old haunts came back to me from Jr. high and high school when I 1st started reading her books. Robin has a way of digging into your heart and stirring emotions you haven't felt in years. She writes with a passon that is deeply driven. The book will forever be an all-time favorite of mine that I will cherish forever. Katie is an excellent woman for girls to look up to when they are seeking out God's best for them. I will forever love and cherish this book for years to come. Blessings to Robin for touching my life!
Lady in Waiting: A Novel

This book kept me turning and turning the pages just wanting to see what would happen! The Past/Present effect had me on the edge of my seat. I would just settle into a relationship with the characters and it would change to the next set of characters. While reading, my mind would float to what I would think would happen to each "Jane" and how it would all tie together. This was my 1st book by Susan Meissner and halfway through the book I started looking for more books by her...cause I know I'll read more of her books in the future. Love how she writes and looking forward to read another book by this author!
Calm My Anxious Heart: A Woman's Guide to Finding Contentment

My Sunday School class decided to read this book and discuss it each week. I was amazed at this book and how it gives great insight for women. Linda Dillow has a way of keeping your attention and wanting to go deeper in your walk with God, regardless of WHERE your walk is at the moment. Her weath of knowledge and stories of her life and other lives gives you the sense of, "God IS WITH ME, and HE DOES have a plan." Very touching book and I feel that ALL women, young and old, should read this book. She touches on issues that most all women struggle with. If onlys, what ifs, being content, etc. This book is a MUST read. One you should read over and over again!
The Darcy Connection: A Novel

A good book and easy read. Some underlining themes of P & P...but NOT QUITE like Austen's book. Loved the characters and enjoyed the plot. Would want to read more of them in the series.
Watch Over Me

I started this book, but never finished it. Not sure WHY I couldn't finish it, but it just did nothing for me. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for a book, or maybe it was just a "flat" book. I"ll give it a break...and come back and try it again in a few months. Maybe then, it will be a good book.

When Love Blooms

LOVED THIS BOOK! From the 1st page it captured my heart and I COULD NOT put it down. I found myself wondering what would happen in the pages to come. Sometimes I can't get into the author's books, and others I fall in love with. SO...this book was wonderful to read. Would share with others.
