Redemption, Kansas

Typical Western. The hero was too human for my tastes.
Quinn

Johansen's fast moving prose initially offsets the melodrama. The melodrama then becomes tedious and you begin to wonder why she is dragging it out. You find out at the end, that she has no intention of pleasing her readers and only wants to sell another book. There is absolutely no reason to read this book. Even if you are a fan of the 'Eve Duncan' continuing story, this book offers absolutely nothing to the story line.
The Trilisk Ruins

The book had a good storyline. Unfortunately, the writing detracted from the story. It just did not 'flow'. I had two impressions while reading as to what the problem was...1. It was written by a high school student.2. It was edited in detail and the 'flow' was lost in the editing.
Neptune Crossing

Again, a good story line without any conclusions. I am really tired of authors who are only interested in selling their next book instead of writing a 'good' book.

British mystery. Only read about a third of it. I just could not get interested in it. Characters seemed very bland.
Threads West, An American Saga: An American Saga

Book one in a series. I was not impressed. I may try to find the next book in the series, but won't be upset if I don't.
RUN

Like First Contact by Kenneth Ingle, this book appears to be a commercial scam. The free Kindle preview is well written. You purchase the book and find out the rest of it appears to be written by a 12 year old on drugs. Both books have the identical implausible story line of first contact with predatory advanced species. Superior human intelligence allows the humans, in a few days, to build weapons that destroy entire fleets of advanced aliens. It is sad that we can not even trust the kindle books we purchase.
The World Set Free

I really enjoyed the first of the book because he showed an amazing understanding of human nature. I must admit that I did not quite finish the book. I got bored with it.
Galaxy of Heroes

Great story line but very amateurish. The many lapses in logic in the storyline are very distracting.
