"I care," he said in a trembling voice. "I care so much that I do not know how to tell you without it seeming inconsequential compared to how I feel. Even if I am distant at times and seem as if I do not want to be with you, it is only because this scares me, too." ~HenryThe goddess test literally blew my mind, Love? Mystery? Muder? Action? oh my! This debut book by Aimee Carter has it all. Kate is a great Heroine, she is brave, and completlyselfless, always putting everyone else before her. I couldnt help, but wish I actuallyknew Kate! Even when people were mean to her and brought her down she still risked herlife for them and treated them with knidness they may not have desereved. The romance in this book is so compelling, I cant even begin to describe it.It was purely perfect, the tension between Henry and Kate is amazing, you can normally tell weather the man ofthe story loves or doesnt love the herione. In this story i was completly clueless! Onemoment it would seem Henry loves Kate..the next it seems he is still in love with his ex,but thankfully in the end everything comes together and it all makes sense1 (yay!) This bookhad a very good plot, and character build, I found my self easily just flowing threwthe pages, I couldnt stop myself! I started reading it one night and then ending up staying till 4am the next morning when i finished it, but it was SO worth it. Aimee Carter isa very talented writer, I look foward to all her future books (: Oh and BTW this is AMAZING and deffiently my new favorite book, after downloading it on Netgalley I have already read it TWICE and Preordered my hard copy (:Note: Goddes Interrupted (The Goddess Test #2) is scheduled to come out sometime in 2012
“Lish tried to swear--which is always funny, because the computer won't translate it. It went something like this: "Bleep stupid bleep bleep faeries and their bleep bleep bleep obsessions. He had better stop bleep bleep bleep the bleep bleep rules or I will bleep bleep bleep the little bleeeeeeeeeeep.”OMG! This book was Amazing. It is so much different then most paranormal book, and such a unique delight. Evie works at a paranormal agency, when she was 8 the agency found her, and discovered, she can see threw paranormals glamor, see them for what they truly are. Evie always thought she was just a normal girl with a special ability, but after weird occurrences happen she not even sure who or what she is.Not is it bad enough her trying to figure out what she is, but who to trust. Does she trust her ex boyfriend Reth? who has tricked her multipule times, but swears he is just trying to protect her and save her life...or Lend...the new agency's study that will only talk to Evie (who also is the only thing Evie can seem to think about). This book has it all; werewolves, mermaids, vampires, hags, shapeshifters, and some other new amazing paranormal creatures, this book is not just an amazing cover but everything in the inside is just as amazing, actually even better.
I was surprised how much i liked this new addition to the Immortal series by Alyson Noel. I was starting to get very sick of this series towards thee end, it seemed like each book was just dragging things out. Thank god that Night Star came threw, night star has less (somewhat confusing) magic involved, more problems of Ever's love triangle with Jude and Damen (which i love!) and more mystery towards the end making it hard to not want the 6th and Final book right after you finish this. If you are reading the Immortal series and feel your gettting sick of it, PLEASE continue it, Night Star was just as good as evermore and blue moon (which are the best in the series). I know I am very happy i didnt give up on this series, and cannot wait for the 6th and finale book!
"I want to take her into my arms and hold her tight. But at the same time, I know that is the exact opposite of what she wants. She wants to be free, and all I want is to hold her tight against me."~ ElderAcross the Universe by Beth Revis suprised me, I normally try to steer clear of Sci-fi or Dystopia books (nothing personal there just usually not my favorite) but this book...was EPIC. Amy is a normal 17 year old girl she has (had) a boyfriend who she loves, and goes (went) to school and all that...but Amy..is going to be frozen for the next 300 years with her parents. She is suppose to awake with her parents, on a new planet, what she's not suppose to do is be woken up 50 years earlier and almost die because someone broke open her case...she is scared, and well freaking out. she cant be re frozen, its too risky, now she must find out who is murdering people on the ship..before time runs out. Across the Universe was much better then i thought it was going to be, the chapters flip back and forth between being in Amy's head and being in Elder's head. I found myself not being able to put this amazing read down, threw out the whole book you cant help but feel like your part of the story, most books that have a mystery in them, are always obivis who did it..but in this book i was kinda stummped. (kinda i knew half of what was gonna happen ahead of time but there was still a HUGE twist) I couldnt help but hate that there wasnt more romance though, it was mainly alot of suspense, mystery, and well just weirdness too. Amy and Elder are both great characters, Amy is strong willed and knows what she wants and isnt afraid to speak her mind, even if it means what she is saying could risk her life...and Elder, he is mesmerized by how different Amy is from everyone and cant keep her off his mind...no matter how much Eldest tells him to stay clear from the "freak" Elder knows she isnt one..in his mind she is nothing but perfect.-I was very surprised that this book is going to be a series, when i finished the book i thought it was going to be a stand alone, but YAY for it going to be a trilogy (:!!--A Million Suns (Across the Universe #2) By Beth Revis is expected to come out in 2012.
"Beware of a kiss under the full moon. It will change your life forever"This book i beileve was pretty good, I did some cruising around on the internet and looked at other peoples reviews and for the most part a lot of people did not like this book? I disagree i beileve it was a nice read. The characters in this book are great, while reading this book I felt like i actually knew each one of them on a personal level( i know weird). One thing I found annoying is that Celeste so called "friends" in the book Celeste cant tell anyone about her feelings for Brandon, or even tell people she spends most of her time with him latley...what the hell kinda friends are that? and its all because he lives in a different part of town? To me that just seems a little too uptight of her friends, i beileve there shouldve been a really close friend of Celeste so she could have someone to talk to about Brandon, cause threw out the book i just kept feeling sorry for her and her choice of "friends". Another thing that bothered me was the lack of characters, there was like maybe ten people at the most in the whole book. Even though i have many complaints on this book it was still good, and if there is a second one i will deff be reading it.......I love the love triangle going on in this book, Celeste is completly torn, Nash who is the most popular guy in school, and the most perfect boyfriend (in other girls eyes) wants her back and she can tell he is actually trying to change this time, then theres Brandon who she can never bring herself to stop thinking of, but being with him could mean losing everything, her friends, nash, and maybe even her life..
Love is a werewolf, influenced by the moon and terror, and always about to change. This book was a real disappointment, it had SO much potential too. The Frenzy is very confusing at first and you don't even really know whats going on. After about 100 pages things start to get more interesting, but honestly this book has a load of information that is useless and then BAM at the end it just explains everything and ends. I could think of a couple ways the author could have improved this, this book would have been good if it had been stretched out some. maybe be a series? it seemed very sloppy at the end how everything just happens in a couple pages then ends, the the author just wanted to get done with there work instead of making a nice ending. I must admit i did enjoy the characters, you really feel like you know them when reading, but besides that i couldn't sink in with this book, too sloppy. everything could had been improved by simple things. This book is alright, defiantly not a too buy book.
I honestly have no idea where to even start with nightshade, this is the best book i have ever read. It has the perfect amount of everything from love, to action. I will admit when i first bought this book i was a little skeptic that it might not be that great since it is Andrea Cremer's first book, but i was proven wrong. If you love paranormal/paranormal romance, then you are going to fall in love with nightshade. PLEASE NOTE: i know i normally write my own description in these, but with this book it is too hard to figure a description without giving too much away so please read the summary below provided by B&N.
