Her research is situated at the intersection of literature, law, and philosophy, and engages with early modern, modern, and contemporary German and English literature. She is the author of Die Komödie der Tragödie (Konstanz University Press, 2011) and coeditor of Happy Days: Lebenswissen nach Cavell (Fink, 2009). She is currently finishing her second book on figures of “Stellvertretung” (advocacy, agency, representation, substitution) in rhetoric, law, and literature.view less
