Actors Company of Tulsas Mission is to provide opportunities that empower the theatrical artist in an expressive environment that fosters creative thinking and facilities change in a way that is fearless, honest, relevant , and ultimately revolutionary. With a focus on education, community involvement that extends beyond our own walls, and technological innovation, we strive to honor the theatrical process and make theatre an important event. In this way, we shatter the idea that professional artistry only happens outside our city. We believe Tulsa Theatre can and should be recognized on a local and national scale. Humble Boy by Charlotte Jones Felix Humble, an ill-adjusted astro-physicist in search of the theory of everything returns home for his fathers funeral only to find an empty beehive, an empty garden, and his empty-hearted mother on the cusp of a new marriage. Yet, as this Hamlet inspired saga unfolds, he discovers the emptiness is not as it seems, and there is hope for a Humble Family healing. Coming in September. Anthony Burgesss A Clockwork Orange Back by popular demand, Actors Company of Tulsa adds an encore run of Anthony Burgesss A Clockwork Orange - the tale of a young Alex DeLargevandal, hoodlum, and master of mayhem. When Alexs latest act of mischief goes awry and makes him a murderer, he must submit to an experimental treatment promising to cure him of his violent impulses. The play asks the question of just where is the line between rehabilitation and brainwashing. Coming in October. Three Sisters by Anton Chekov The sisters Prosorov-Olga, Masha, and Irina, are finding life drab and increasingly hopeless in a Russian provincial town with their only amusement being the nearby artillery post and the company of its officers. The sisters dream of one day returning to demanding jobs, secret affairs, and power struggles until ultimately succumbing to climactic tragedy. The Three Sisters is a play about humanity and heroic longing, the ties that bind, and an unyielding affection. Coming in March.
