Out-of-Stater Bill Clinton Endorses St. Cloud

State Senator, 6
th
District Congressional

Candidate, DFL Endorsed, New 8
th
District

Resident, Out-of-Towner, Temporary TarrylClark
St. Paul
Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Pat Shortridge issued the
following statement regarding former President Bill Clinton‟s endorsement of Tarryl Clark in Minnesota‟s
Eighth Congressional District today.
“The question „what the heck is going on in the 8
th
Congressional District
Democrat primary‟ just got more interesting now that former President Clinton
endorsed Taryl Clark against the 8
th

Congressional District DFL‟s
endorsedcandidate, Rick Nolan.
“Tarryl‟s agenda of higher taxes, bigger government and increased gun control
failed to gain traction among residents of CD 6 in 2010 and is struggling similarlyin CD 8 in 2012, so I guess it figures that Ms. Clark had to get a NewYorker/Citizen of the World, to help bail out her lagging campaign.
“I‟m not sure if President Clinton‟s endorsement is a further indication of how
worried Nancy Pelosi and Washington Democrats are about how the DFL endorsedcandidate, Rick Nolan, is faring
struggling to raise money and gain the support of Eighth District residents
or how strong Chip Cravaack is looking with just over100 days left in the campaign.
“In either case, the Democrats remain in turmoil while Chip keeps getting the jo
bdone for 8
th

District residents.”
