    MECHANICAL SEAL ARRANGEMENTS Inside Seals Outside Seals Double Back to back Seals. Double Tandem Seals.

    Inside Seals : Most common type used in industry. MOC to withstand the corrosive nature of the liquid in the stuffing box. Cannot be adjusted without dismantling the equipment.

    Outside Seals : With extremely corrosive liquids. Easier to adjust and trouble shoot.

    Double Back to Back Seals : With abrasive and corrosive liquids. Artificial environment created for the seal. The injected liquid is at higher pressure than the product. Loss of circulating fluid is an indication of seal failure.
